Proverbs Chapter 16

Purpose and Place

Proverbs is divided into six sections and Proverbs sixteen is part of the second section titled Solomon's wisdom.

I heard a saying that went something like this, when man plans God laughs. The plans of our heart is our thoughts and ideas, not God's. I would imagine that when we are not lead by the Holy Spirit but only by our own ways we have missed the mark.

If we wrote the words out to the song Lead Me, Guide Me, it might help us to become more humble. The songstress wrote "Lord if you lead me I cannot stray". Can it be this easy "surrender to Gods will? Fine tune your hearing to what God is saying, He is active in our lives and involved in everyone of our activities.

Proverbs sixteen explains wise thoughts and actions pray and give your thoughts and plans to God.
